John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats are used to losing underclassmen players to the NBA. Sophomore point guard Ashton Hagans has declared for the 2020 NBA Draft and seemingly does not plan to return to Kentucky for his junior year. The Wildcats are fairly well known for reloading on talented freshmen each year when they lose players like Hagans. He is projected to be a second-round draft pick and with the Coronavirus Outbreak, he may not get a solid chance to improve his stock beyond where it is right now.
Much love to our guy @H23Ash. Incredible career at Kentucky. We wish him the best as he pursues his lifelong dream.
Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat. For now, NBA bound. ?

Hagans was a talented point guard at Kentucky and his type of play could help an NBA team that needs young point guard depth. He is listed at 6’3″ and 198 pounds which are solid height and weight for the NBA point guard position. The Kentucky Wildcat point guard seems ready to start his NBA career and is excited about it no matter where the journey takes him. His second year at Kentucky did help him improve in some much-needed areas.
Hagans spent his second year averaging 11.5 points, 6.4 assists, 1.9 steals, and 3.9 rebounds per game. These were all improvements from his freshman year which is what NBA teams can look for in a player that stays another year in college. He shot 40.4 percent from the field but paired that with only a three-point percentage of 25.8 percent. Hagans, like most second-round picks, has some good and bad qualities about his game. There should be an NBA team that evaluates what they see from him and decide he is a perfect fit for their rotation.
