Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is no stranger to producing hit projects for Starz. Throughout the years, Jackson has teamed up with the premium cable network to develop the Power universe and put the story of BMF in millions of homes across the country. Now, the New York native will take his creative talents overseas for a new series called Fightland.
Executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Fightland is a British boxing drama written by Daniel Fajemisin-Duncan and Marlon Smith. The series follows a former world champion who has been cast aside by the sport he loved for so long. However, he is pulled back into the corrupt section of the sport in order to save his best friend and former sparring partner. Throughout this journey, he must confront the demons that he has fought off her so long in an effort to make what he can of his life.
“Fightland embodies the stakes, swagger, and ambition that collaborations between Starz and 50 Cent have come to represent,” Kathryn Busby of Starz said, per Deadline.
“We are excited to be working with Daniel and Marlon who are brilliant writers and whose authentic take will bring this global story to life.”
At this time, there is no release date nor any casting information for Fightland.
