The Roots has unveiled the lineup for their annual festival. Headlined by Lauryn Hill, Diddy and The Roots, the festival will take place on June 2-4, 2023 at The Mann In Fairmount Park.
“Roots Picnic Weekend returns to Philadelphia June 2-4, 2023! We’re partnering with Live Nation Urban to bring you three days of black culture, music, comedy and podcasts in one of the most beautiful cities in the world,” festival organizers wrote.
Alongside Diddy and Lauryn Hill, the festival stages will also welcome Dave Chappelle, Lil’ Uzi Vert, City Girls, Lucky Daye, GloRilla, DJ Drama, Coco Jones, Mary Mary and Adam Blackstone. Not to be forgotten, the J. Live Mixtape will return with Black Thought, Eve, DVSN and Busta Rhymes. To top it all off, there will be a State Property reunion featuring Freeway, Beanie Siegel, Freeway, Young Gunz, Peedi Crakk, Oschino and Sparks.
Aside from the musical and comedy performances, the podcast will return with Charlamagne Tha God, Off The Record with DJ Akademiks, Lip Service with Angela Yee and Questlove Supreme. Pour Minds, Trap Nerds, Love + Grit and The Office XIV will also be in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
