
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced its 2021 class of inductees. This year, Jay-Z, Tina Turner, the Foo Fighters, the Go-Go’s, Todd Rundgren and Carole King. Adding to this year’s class of inductees, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame intends to present the Ahmet Ertegun Award to Clarence Avant. Also, LL Cool J, Billy Preston and Randy Rhoads will receive the Music Excellence Awards. Rounding out this year’s slate of honorees, Kraftwerk, Gil Scott-Heron and Charley Patton have earned Early Influence Awards.
“This diverse class of talented Inductees reflects the Rock Hall’s ongoing commitment to honor artists whose music created the sound of youth culture”, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation Chairman John Sykes said.
“It will make for an unforgettable live celebration of music in October at this year’s Induction Ceremony in Cleveland.”
The 2021 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place in October at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio. Tickets will be available to the public in July and the ceremony will air at a later date on HBO and HBO Max.
