2020 NBA All-Star Weekend is FINALLY here! By far one of, if not the best, All-Star festivities in all of sports. While the Celebrity All-Star Game and Rising Stars game are going down on Friday, the most exciting part of All-Star Weekend is happening on Saturday. 10:30 AM Media Day starts, then at night the Skills Challenge, 3-Point Contest, and Slam Dunk Contest all take place. If you want to wager on any of these props these basketball betting sites here are rated on value, variety and sportsbook experience. Let’s break down the favorites and the competitors that are going to be showcased in these events.
Skills Challenge
The Skills Challenge features a lot of super-talented players from guards to bigs. Spencer Dinwiddie is the favorite at +290. Bringing up the rear is Bam Adebayo at +1200. While there are plenty of great players in the event, I like Jayson Tatum or Pascal Siakam to win, both with +450 odds.
Three-Point Contest
The Three-Point Contest is quickly becoming the favorite event at All-Star Weekend, potentially overthrowing the dunk contest in the new-age NBA. Duncan Robinson is the favorite this year at +375 while Sacramento Kings sharpshooter Buddy Hield sits at third to last with +600 odds. Devonte’ Graham and Zach LaVine bring up the last two spots at +1200. While there are a lot of good players to pick from, my pick for this contest has to be Devin Booker! After replacing Damian Lillard for the All-Star Game and this contest, Devin Booker will compete in his third NBA Three-Point Contest an event he finished third in as a Rookie and won two years ago in 2018.
Dunk Contest
This year’s dunk contest is a showdown between old legends of the event, and newer up and comers. Aaron Gordon (+130), Derrick Jones Jr.(+140), Pat Connaughton (+400), and Dwight Howard (+550) will battle for the title this year. Gordon should be electrifying we all know that. The big question is, how will Dwight Howard perform in the contest, an event he hasn’t participated in since 2009!? However, with all of that said, I like Jones Jr. to take the title this year, he’s got an insane bounce and if he has put some thought and creativity into his dunks he could put on a spectacular show.
