
Doesn’t matter if your five years old playing tee ball, or twenty-five years old playing in the big leagues, you’re always going to compete with your teammates to be in the starting nine. Now there is one difference in this game then every other regular season game. That is proving it to the fans, instead of your coach.
These following nine guys were voted in by the fans that they deserved to be an all-star starter for the American League (AL)

The American League Squad is managed by Alex Cora of the Boston Red Sox
In 2018, the AL squad managed by AJ Hinch from the Houston Astros defeated the NL squad managed by the Dodgers manager, Dave Roberts. The 2018 midsummer classic lasted ten innings and resulted in an 8-6 defeat of the NL team. Astros third baseman, Alex Bregman, took home the award for the MVP of the 2018 All-Star Game and hopes to defend his title again this year by having a good game. Cora is going to get the nod this year as the Boston Red Sox were World Series champs in 2018.
The final rosters are left to the commissioner’s office and will come together to decide the best rosters. This Sunday, June 30th the final 2019 All-Star Game rosters will be revealed. The 2019 MLB Home Run Derby will take place on Monday, July 8th at Progressive Field in Cleveland. The midsummer classic will take place the next day on July 9th where the AL squad will take on the NL squad.
