There’s something special about a Top Dawg Entertainment release. They are few and far between, but they’re always quality drops. Most recently, Isaiah Rashad stepped up to the plate his sophomore album, The House Is Burning, and he hit it out of the park. With features from Jay Rock and SZA along with classic Missy Elliott samples, the Tennessee native’s latest release is a strong contender for “Rap Album of the Year” along with Tyler, The Creator’s Call Me If You Get Lost and J. Cole’s The Off-Season.
Fresh off of releasing his second. critically-acclaimed album, Isaiah Rashad is back to support his TDE labelmate, Zacari. With additional support from frequent TDE collaborator Buddy, the trio put together the head bumping, “Rainy Day.”
“.30 on my hip in case of rainy day/.50 in the safe in case of rainy day/All the thirsty bitches on me, keep them games away/Lately I just wanna keep the rain away,” Zacari opens the song.
“Rainy Day” is the first single from the California native who put out two singles in 2020, but remained fairly quiet throughout the year. Hopefully, “Rainy Day” marks the start of another run for the TDE star. Check out “Rainy Day” below.
