I hope y’all are ready to get a little creepy after Christmas. That’s because the second season of Netflix’s Original series, You is dropping the day after Santa comes. Netflix got the hype train rolling on Thursday by releasing the first teaser for the new season on the show’s official Twitter.
Penn Badgley is returning to star as the show’s main character Joe, who’s apparently now going by the name Will. Joe/Will has moved out west after the events of the first season and is now living in L.A. Nothing’s changed about his life though as he’s got his sights set on a new girl, an aspiring chef named Love Quinn. It was previously reported that Quinn will be portrayed by Victoria Pedretti, who played Nell Crain on The Haunting of Hill House. However, we don’t learn much about her, or anything regarding the new season really, in the new teaser. But, we do learn about Joe/Will’s new name and his disdain for L.A. culture.
Check out the teaser below:
You was originally a Lifetime Original Series but for some reason never found an audience at the network and it passed on a second season. Once the show hit Netflix though it became a social media sensation. On the back of some impressive viewership numbers, Netflix shaped the show-up and ordered a second season of the series.
The streamer is certainly hoping that the second season does just as well if not better to round out 2019. But, it’s not the only huge exclusive hitting the platform this month. So, be sure to check out our list of What Originals Are Coming to Netflix in December 2019.
You season 2 is set to drop December 26th exclusively on Netflix.
