In 2018, South Florida rapper YNW Melly broke on to the scene with his smash hit, “Murder On My Mind”. In the months that followed, Melly worked his way up to his latest project and a Cole Bennett led video featuring Kanye West. Just before he was set to go on tour with Kodak Black, YNW Melly’s rise to fame came to a crashing end.
Earlier this month, the up and coming rapper was charged in connection to a double murder involving two of his friends, Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas. YNW Melly is currently being investigated for allegedly staging the murders of both of Thomas and Williams to look like a drive-by shooting. As he awaits his next court appearance, he is being held in custody without bail. With all of this going on, it appears that YNW Melly may have another difficult legal battle on his hand.
Rapper YNW Melly is now reportedly a suspect in the murder of Deputy Gary Chambliss of the Indian River County Sheriff’s Department. Chambliss was murdered in a shooting back in 2017. While Division Captain Tony Consalo has yet confirm that Melly is a suspect, XXL reports, “he and his force believe a questioning could be warranted.”
This report will be updated as more details become available to the public.
