Westside Gunn has shared some exciting news over the holiday weekend. The Griselda recording artist plans to release his Madlib-assisted project, Peace Fly God, on July 8, 2022. The New York native has described the project as an “art piece” and plans to use it as a warm-up for his forthcoming Michelle Records project.
“I’m back in the states and the homies pulled right up on me. Now, the tape is complete,” Westside Gunn wrote in a recent Instagram post.
“[I don’t give a f*ck] about [mixing] or [mastering]. I wanna keep that sh*t grimey [as f*ck], so I’m dropping [it] this [Friday]. F*ck it! This [is] not the album. This [is an] art piece before Michelle Records.”
Prior to the release of his upcoming project, Westside Gunn was spotted alongside A$AP Rocky. However, it’s unclear who may appear on the finished version of the upcoming project. Stay tuned for the unveiling of the artwork and tracklist later this week.
