The time has come for Wale’s More About Nothing to debut on streaming platforms around the World Wide Web. Earlier this afternoon, the Washington, D.C. native announced that his classic mixtape will arrive on a streaming platform near your phone, laptop or tablet on April 29, 2022. Just as all listeners remembered it back in the day of Facebook and iPods, the mixtape comes complete with tracks like “The Soup” and “The MC.” Not to mention, it also feature commentary from legendary comedian Jerry Seinfeld and NBA Champion Kevin Durant.
“In the end, it’s just about as good as the first Seinfeld mixtape. And that means that it’s pretty damn good,” critic Adam Kivel of Consequence wrote about the project when it dropped in 2010.
More than a decade later, Wale’s released a number of incredible projects, captivated audiences with records like “On Chill” and earned a Grammy nomination for his work on “Lotus Flower Bomb” with Miguel. Not to mention, he recently made his major motion picture debut in Ambulance. It’s amazing what a decade change can do, but it will always be fun to look back at the early days. Check out the trailer below and get ready for More About Nothing to ease its way into TIDAL, Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, Audiomack, Pandora, etc. on April 29, 2022.
