During a recent episode of The Pivot with Ryan Clark, Channing Crowder and Fred Taylor, journalist Taylor Rooks was asked what her goal for each interview is. In response, she told the former NFL stars that she always aims to have her guest say something that they haven’t said in previous interviews. By that standard, Rooks’ friends over at Showtime, Desus Nice and The Kid Mero, had a successful interview with Pusha T this evening. Throughout their 16-minute conversation, Pusha T continued to say things that he may not have said in previous interviews.
First, Pusha T confirmed that he has named his new album It’s Almost Dry. He tweeted the news on Wednesday and repeated name for the first time on-camera this evening. Later on, he dropped another bombshell. His friend and collaborator, Pharrell Williams, will be moving Something In The Water to Washington, D.C. this year.
“Something In The Water is probably one of the best things that he’s had his in creating,” he said.
“This particular year, Something In The Water is going to be in Washington, D.C.”
Something In The Water previously took place in Virginia Beach, Virginia. However, the legendary producer vowed to move the event after witnessing the region’s response to the death of his cousin, Donovan Lynch, at the hands of police.
Unfortunately, Pusha T didn’t reveal when Something In The Water will take place, but more details are on the way. For now, fans will just have to wait patiently. In the meantime, check out the complete conversation between Desus Nice, The Kid Mero and Pusha T below.
