When the news first broke of the upcoming VILLA x Wale x ASICS Gel Lyte III ‘Bottle Rocket’ collaboration, it left a lot of sneakerheads scratching their heads. Wale, designing a sneaker not Nike or even a Foamposite? Well this interested me more than had me confused or wondering why. I appreciate someone stepping out of their comfort zone and doing something out of the norm.
The collaboration seen here is amazing and well executed in my opinion, VILLA x Wale did their thing with these and I mean we couldn’t have expected nothing less than that right? Look at the ‘The Gatsby’ Puma basket by VILLA plus all the others in the past.

The exclusive “Bottle Rocket” Gel Lyte III is constructed with a premium suede upper featuring contrasting blue and red color inside and outside panels, eyelets, and branding. The outsole contains a white base with an explosion of red and blue fireworks. Hints of 3M detailing can be found on the laces and the stars underneath the heel and panel netting. The foot bed has a mismatching stars and stripes pattern. The sneakers come packaged in a two piece multi-branded VILLA x Wale x ASICS “Bottle Rocket” box with a collectors edition Pintrill pin set and an alternate set of red laces. The Bottle Rocket retails for $160.
