Thursday night’s match-up between the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder was a highly anticipated one. Kevin Durant playing against his former team for the first one and how Russell Westbrook would go about exacting revenge on his former teammate and “work friend” dominated the headlines.
However, the early returns on the game have a different highlight from an unlikely source. The newest member of the Thunder, Jerami Grant, took over the spotlight with a massive dunk over the ex-Thunder star.
Grant, who was traded to the Thunder from the 76ers earlier this week, is known for his athleticism. This time, he took the pass from an out-of-control and falling Westbrook, sidestepped his way into the paint, and jumped off both feet for the monster dunk on Durant. Then he proceeded to stare down his victim.
Everyone was waiting for Westbrook to dunk over KD, but it was Jerami Grant who came up with the fireworks. He just raised the bar for the rest of the Warriors and Thunder’s meetings this season, in a big way.
