Shawn “Jay Z” Carter narrates a new short film with the New York Times titled “A History Of The War On Drugs: From Prohibition to Gold Rush”. The illustrations are created by Molly Crabapple.
In the 4-minute short film JAY Z who has been well documented for his “drug dealer” past, speaks on various topics and the timeline of the war on drugs. What he calls an epic fail, the war on drugs from 1971 to now in 2016 have shown no signs of improvement.
“45 years later, it’s time to rethink our policies and laws.”
JAY Z narrates on various topics from Ronald Regan, Richard Nixon, drug related incarceration rates compared to other countries and so much more.
