Looks like the folks at Nike Basketball are preparing to unveil something special. The pattern is unraveling right before our eyes or perhaps I am just digging in too deep at the signs. Starting back on November 26th a short video clip of one of their marquee signature athletes, Kobe Bryant appeared online giving us an idea of how to him, attention to detail is vital to the design of a signature shoe.
Three days after that we get the same video but this time from reigning MVP, Kevin Durant. KD talks about the first pair of sneakers he ever received and how having a signature shoe made by an NBA player felt as if he was apart of that player since having the shoes he wore on the court. Fast forward. Now Kevin haves his own signature shoe and it makes him feel as if everyone who buys his sneakers are apart of him or has a piece of his legacy.
Today Nike Basketball released a third video giving us a look into the Nike Basketball Experience of three legends. These three legends as well have their own signature line, Gary Payton, Scottie Pippen and Penny Hardaway. Check out the three videos in their entirety below.
To me this is all leading up to what has to be the official unveiling of Kyrie Irvings signature line, the Nike Kyrie 1. We have already seen a first look at the silhouette as well as plenty of other pictures. Kyrie has also seen his fair share of Nike Hyperdunk PE’s as well as the most recent release of Nike Air Force 1’s. Like I mentioned before the pattern is unraveling before our eyes and we will keep you guys in the loop.
Tune in December 3rd as the next chapter unfolds.
