Usher and Sheila E. join the list of performers tasked with tributing Prince during the 2020 Grammy Awards.
Previously, The Recording Academy announced a special Prince Tribute Concert featuring Beck, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Coldplay and more. This performance takes place Tuesday, January 28, 2020, two days after the actual Grammy awards occur live. Now, Prince’s legacy will be celebrated on the award stage.
Prince and Sheila E. will perform in Prince’s honor. They join a list of previously announced performers including Tyler The Creator and Lizzo, who found mentorship and guidance in Prince before his death. Lizzo also leads the 2020 nominee class in nominations.
The late Nipsey Hussle will also receive a tribute performance during the 2020 Grammy Awards featuring YG, John Legend, Roddy Ricch and more. Hosted by Alicia Keys, the 62nd annual Grammy Awards air live on Sunday, January 26, 2020, on CBS network at 8:00 pm ET.
