Under Armour has made recent headlines when the attempted sneaker deal offer to Superstar small forward Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder was ultimately matched by NIKE.
Fast forward to today and their current signature athlete who is having an MVP-esque season right now, Stephen Curry, has been given the greenlight to now have his first signature shoe. The unveiling took place at a Bay Area High School which catered to the unveiling of the Curry One.
The event was hosted by Mark Curry who is mostly known for his role as “Hanging With Mr. Cooper”
The Curry One design is being said to have been inspired by cars, animals and old photos according to Narrative co-founder and CEO Tricia Clarke-Stone. Which pretty much gives an idea that the Curry One will have storylines behind each colorway, kind of dope since I am big on that when it comes to athletes signature shoes.
A few notables of the Curry One is the lace loop which has “4:13,” a Bible verse that is Stephs favorite….: “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
As of right now the Curry One is still being fully unveiled so we will continue to update this post as more and more information is unveiled. We see that there are is also 6 initial colorways that are releasing when the shoes officially drop on 2/13/15.
Being that date is All Star Weekend we can pretty much assume that will be the first colorway. While each colorway will be announced with their release date accordingly we will make sure to keep you guys updated as well.
