
Duane “Keefe D” Davis has reportedly been arrested in connection to the murder of the late Tupac Shakur. Davis has been taken into custody and charges could be shared with the public as early as this afternoon. The family of Tupac Shakur nor the Las Vegas Police Department has shared details regarding the arrest.
Tupac Shakur is a global music superstar who has sold more than 75 million records worldwide. On September 7, 1996, his life was cut short when he was shot in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada following a heavyweight fight featuring Mike Tyson and Bruce Seldon. Shortly thereafter, the legendary musician was taken to the intensive care unit at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada. Six days later, he was pronounced dead at 25 years old.
Duane “Keefe D” Davis is a 60-year-old Compton native. In July, members of the Las Vegas Police Department searched Davis’s home and reportedly recovered the following items: multiple computers, a cellphone, a hard drive, bullets, photographs, a Vibe magazine featuring Shakur and a copy of his memoir. In his memoir, Compton Street Legend, Davis reportedly references being a witness to the murder. Two months after the raid, Davis has been taken into custody.
