Head Coach Jon Scheyer and the Duke Blue Devils have picked up the commitment of 2023 top 25 recruit and top ten power forward TJ Power. This commitment adds a top-rated four-star recruit to an already loaded recruiting class for Duke in the 2023 class. Power committed to the Duke Blue Devils over the Virginia Cavaliers, North Carolina Tar Heels, Boston College Eagles, and Iowa Hawkeyes. His stock in the 2023 recruiting class has risen significantly over the course of the year. He is not a likely “one and done” prospect, but brings plenty of talent to the program.
Duke has ended their five-month commitment drought with the addition of TJ Power, making for their fifth commit in 2023.
He’s one of the best shooters in the country but brings much more, having many similarities to a former Duke champion. || Analysis: https://t.co/U9DH3I9ve0 pic.twitter.com/qCr5wTzknv

While the Duke Blue Devils are more known for their “one and done” NBA talent, recruits like TJ Power are often the life of basketball programs. He is a four-star recruit that can be an impactful team member for at least two seasons unless he has a phenomenal freshmen season. Joining him as freshmen at Duke in 2023 are top-five recruit Mackenzie Mgbako, top-ten recruit Sean Stewart, top-15 recruit Caleb Foster, and top-20 recruit Jared McCain. An absolutely loaded class for new Head Coach Jon Scheyer.

“I see the vision with Coach Scheyer and I’m all in.”

The Duke Blue Devils are in an unprecedented era in the history of their program. Replacing a legendary Head Coach is no easy task. Landing talented recruits like TJ Power is certainly an ideal start to that new era.
