Tinker Hatfield Talks Nike Air Mag 2015
During the Agenda’s Emerge conference last night in Long Beach, CA, sneaker designer and innovator Tinker Hatfield amongst others spoke on an array of topics, designs & innovations. The main topic and question on every sneakerhead mind was the Nike Air Mag 2015 with power lacing which has been confirmed to be releasing.
After promising this in February 2014, fans of the 1989 movie Back To The Future II where Marty McFly introduced to the world the Nike Air Mag with self lacing capabilities look forward to them potentially releasing.
We first saw the Nike Air Mag w/o power laces get unveiled and released back in 2011 in an unbelievably limited quantity. More importantly the proceeds for each auctioned sneaker went to charity which raised over 5 million dollars.
In the movie, the date in which the sneakers were introduced was 10/21/2015 when they went back to the future. So, could that be the date they release? Tinker who confirmed him and his team are working diligently to release the sneakers, had this to say at the conference;
“there is still 11 and two-thirds months left in 2015.
