Netflix is venturing off into new territory with their latest reality competition series, The Mole, but they have not forgotten about their stable of reality dating series. After a successful run in May, Love On The Spectrum has earned a season two renewal at Netflix. In addition, the streaming giant has announced that Nick and Vanessa Lachey’s popular reality dating series, The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, will return for a second season. Furthermore, it will also be expanded into a separate spinoff series called The Ultimatum: Queer Couples.
“The Ultimatum: Queer Love will see five couples, made up of women and non-binary people, at a crossroads in their relationship. One partner is ready for marriage, the other may have doubts. An ultimatum is issued. And in just over eight weeks, each couple will either get married or get out, after they each choose new potential partners in a life-changing opportunity to get a glimpse of two different futures,” the show’s description reads.
The newly launched spinoff will be hosted by Sweet Magnolias star JoAnna Garcia Swisher. Meanwhile, Vanessa and Nick Lachey are expected to remain as the hosts of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On.
Elsewhere, the Lachey creative empire is planning to launch a new season of Love Is Blind this fall. Season three of the hit dating series will debut on October 19, 2022.
