
The world is seeing the undeniable growth of podcasting. Over the last few years, we’ve seen podcasts like The Joe Budden Podcast and 3 Girls, 1 Keith partner with streaming services like Spotify. In addition, we’ve seen podcasts like The Brilliant Idiots and Black Girl Podcast have success with live shows. Most notably, we’ve seen podcasts like Desus & Mero and 2 Dope Queens make the jump from podcasting to television. This week, another group made the jump from podcasting to hosting a show on a network like Fuse.
The Read podcast will now have its own show on Fuse. The network announced that the duo of Kid Fury and Crissle West will receive a run of ten thirty minute episodes on the network. The show will consist of the same banter and comedy that the podcast consists of. In addition, the show will feature celebrity guests and occasional musical performances.
Crissle West tweets, “Thank you all for showing so much love.” Kid Fury added a simple, “Thanks y’all” There’s no word on when the show will begin filming or when it will air. In the meantime, listeners can continue to catch The Read podcast every week on all streaming platforms.
