Netflix is diving right back into the reality show waters. Fresh off of wrapping up season two of The Circle, the streaming giant has announced that the show will return for a third season on September 8.
Similar to previous seasons, the show will feature eight contestants using social media to garner influence and friends en route to a cash prize of $100,000. Along the way, they’ll have to make the decision to play as themselves or become a catfish. Not to mention, they’ll have to deal with the psychological hurdle of being trapped in a room unable to see anyone other than television producers for a few weeks straight.
Much like last season, the show will release new episodes in waves. Hosted by Critics Choice Award winner Michelle Buteau, the show will roll out its first batch of episodes on September. From then on, new episodes will be released each Wednesday until the winner is revealed on September 29.
Seasons one and two of The Circle are currently available on Netflix. Also, international versions set in France and Brazil are also available. Those interested in applying to be on the show can visit Netflix’s reality hub.
