Actress Storm Reid has joined the Maybelline brand as its newest global spokeswoman. Reid will join Gigi Hadid as the two represent the brand across the globe.
“Maybelline has been in my family for as long as I can remember,” Reid said.
“I’m looking forward to this new chapter with Maybelline where I will be able to use my voice to champion young women and my generation through my work with the brand.”
Reid is an accomplished actress who has worked with a number of influential figures in Hollywood like David Oyelowo, Ava DuVernay and Zendaya. She’s also starred in A Wrinkle In Time, Euphoria and When They See Us. Later this year, she will appear in Suicide Squad.
Beyond her acting roles, Reid works to improve the world around her with the Bamazing initiative. Through this campaign, Reid works to address racial inequity, police brutality, gender discrimination and much more. Coinciding with her Bamazing efforts, the actress will be the leader of Maybelline’s “Brave Together” campaign. The cosmetic campaign is using this initiative to address the many stigmas related to depression and anxiety.
“Storm is a standout voice and changemaker,” Trisha Ayyagari of Maybelline said.
“She is a deeply talented actress, a courageous champion of equality and has energy that lights up any room. I’ve always admired Storm and knew she would be a great addition to the Maybelline brand.”
