Unified Super Bantamweight Champion Stephen Fulton has found his next opponent. Boxing insider Mike Coppinger has reported that Fulton will share the ring with Daniel Roman on June 4, 2022 in a location that has not yet been determined.
Coming out of Philadelphia, Stephen Fulton is one of the more promising young fighters within the lower weight divisions. He captured his first world title after throwing more than 1,000 punches against Angelo Leo in January 2021. Ten months later, Fulton outdueled Brandon Figueroa in a unification bout. Roman provides his next test.
Coming out of Los Angeles, Roman is widely considered one of the five best 122-pound fighters in the world. He recently fell on the wrong side of a split decision verdict when fighting against Murodjon Akhmadaliev. If Roman is able to pull off the upset, he would likely earn a rematch against Akhmadaliev for the undisputed 122-pound title.
