Could Use A Vacation. Social Status x New Balance 1600 ‘Winter In The Hamptons’
Past couple of weeks have shown a rather steady increase in collaborations, especially with different silhouettes in the New Balance family to be a little more technical. Recently, just to serve as an example we saw Ronnie Fieg drop two collaborations (Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park) on this past Black Friday.
This time around we see Social Status teaming up with New Balance with their CM1600 for this ‘Winter In The Hamptons’ colorway. Now me I haven’t been fortunate enough to visit the Hamptons but that isn’t a problem since Social Status has taken to their site to provide some very informative details along with detailed pictures in regards to what led to this collabo.
How could I forget, we also have a release date for when these will be available, 12/13 for the retail price of $164.95. Let us know down in the comments will these be a DEF Cop or DEF Not.
New Balance and street wear boutique, Social Status, join forces for the release of the limited edition Social Status x New Balance CM1600. Inspired by premium denim, the Social Status x New Balance CM1600 “Winter in the Hamptons” will be released on December 13 in all six Social Status locations and on www.socialstatuspgh.com for $164.95.
The “Winter in the Hamptons” CM1600 upper is done in pig suede, nubuck and Cone® denim for a luxe, winter inspired look. The leather details represent luxury yacht interiors; the dark denim pays homage to coastal winters; and, the teal color hits represent the ocean. The incorporation of Cone® denim not only represents a winter climate, but is a nod to Social Status’ history as a premium denim brand that, as a cult favorite, evolved into a boutique.
