Calvin “Snoop Dogg” Broadus is planning to open cannabis dispensaries in Los Angeles, California and Amsterdam, North Holland.
The first of the two dispensaries operating under Snoop Dogg’s cannabis banner, Smoke Weed Everyday (S.W.E.D), will be near the Los Angeles International Airport at 5494 West Centinela Avenue. According to industry publication, Benzinga, the dispensary is a “cultural hub” designed to offer “top-shelf premium products and services” along with unique Death Row Records and Snoop Dogg-related merchandise.
The second dispensary under the S.W.E.D banner is scheduled to open later this year in Amsterdam. Much like the Los Angeles retail location, the Amsterdam location aims to bring “the same cultural and cannabis experience to an international audience.”
Snoop Dogg has been a presence in legalized cannabis industry for years. Previously, he launched a hybrid cannabis line called Leafs By Snoop. More recently, he took over Death Row Records and launched Death Row Cannabis in 2023.
“Since I’ve been at the forefront of this movement for over 20 years now, I’m a master of marijuana,” the Long Beach legend told the Denver Post.
The “master of marijuana” will open his Los Angeles-based dispensary on July 14 and his retail location in Amsterdam next month.
