As the old saying goes or rather my saying goes, I love me a well executed collaboration. As for the upcoming Sneakersnstuff x PUMA Swedish Camo Pack, you should already be aware that a story line is going to ensue. SNS prides themselves on orchastrating quality products when doing a collaboration and this is no different.
Featuring the PUMA Blaze of Glory and the PUMA Ignite, the folks at SNS have provided this information below on the pack which should further explain and give insight towards your decision making on whether you plan on picking up a pair of not.
When our friends at Sneaker Freaker were asked to do a PUMA collaboration in the late ’00, they wanted to re-new something classic. The result was the PUMA Blaze of Glory. Based on the PUMA Disc Blaze, with the famous PUMA Disc system replacing the standard lace-system. With just a few minor tweaks, and the removal of the disc system – the PUMA Blaze of Glory was born and released in 2008. Since then, it has been one of PUMA’s best performing lifestyle silhouettes, and we love it.
To continue the path that Woody and his crew once started exploring, we wanted to work on one of the newer silhouettes from PUMA. Being sneaker nerds since the 80’s means that we get super excited over new technologies. So to be able to work on the company’s number one performance shoe Ignite is of course very exciting for us.
The PUMA x Sneakersnstuff ”Swedish Camo Pack” takes the design theme from the Swedish military camouflage M90. M90 was introduced 1990 (shocker…) and is still in use today.
The PUMA x Sneakersnstuff ”Swedish Camo Pack” will be released at all Sneakersnstuff locations February 6th.
The PUMA x Sneakersnstuff Blaze of Glory comes with an all-over M90 upper in heavy nylon with details in nubuck and premium leather.
The PUMA x Sneakersnstuff Ignite stays true to its functionality with an overall mesh upper, heat cut overlays and a subtle camo hook only on the tounge and on the medial formstripe.
