Head Coach Mike White and the Georgia Bulldogs have landed the commitment of 2023 four-star combo guard Silas Demary Jr. He was originally committed to the USC Trojans but recently announced his de-commitment and reopened his recruitment. Demary Jr was a highly touted recruit but needed to move quickly as a 2023 recruit. He did not release a final list of schools before he announced that he committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. Landing talent like this is a vital step for a lackluster Georgia basketball program heading into the 2023-24 college basketball season.

In the 2023 recruiting class, Silas Demary Jr is ranked as the 99th overall prospect and the 14th combo guard. Some recruiting websites have him much higher on their boards and as high as the top 60. The Georgia Bulldogs need to find a way to right the basketball program after years of below-average play on the court. While Demary Jr will not fix all of their program’s issues landing a talented four-star recruit is a big step in the right direction. The program will need a better season if Head Coach Mike White hopes to stay off of the hot seat during the 2023-24 college basketball season.
