Texas Longhorns senior forward Dylan Disu has announced that he will return to the program next season for his fifth year. This is a big return for the program as they attempt to build on their success from this past season. Disu is able to play for a fifth season thanks to the extra year of eligibility granted to players due to the impact the Coronavirus had on the 2020-21 college basketball season. Disu will likely make more in NIL deals next season with Texas than he would playing pro basketball somewhere next season.

This past season as a senior for the Texas Longhorns, Dylan Disu averaged 8.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, one asssit, and 1.3 blocks per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 61.3 percent and a three-point percentage of 31.3 percent. Disu was vital in the team’s run to the second weekend of the 2023 NCAA Tournament. His leadership, defense, and ability to lead the offense will be vital for the Longhorns during the 2023-24 college basketball season. Newly appointed Head Coach Rodney Terry has a talented roster for next season and will be looking to compete for the 2023-24 NCAA National Championship.
