
Netflix’s hit series, Sex Education, will return on January 17th 2020. The show will bring back main cast members such as Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Connor Swindells, Aimee Lou Wood and others. The new season will feature eight episodes this time around.
As described by Netflix, “In season 2, as a late bloomer Otis must master his newly discovered sexual urges in order to progress with his girlfriend Ola whilst also dealing with his now strained relationship with Maeve.”
Netflix adds, “Meanwhile, Moordale Secondary is in the throes of a Chlamydia outbreak, highlighting the need for better sex education at the school and new kids come to town who will challenge the status quo. Maeve and Aimee’s BFF relationship is stronger than ever since Aimee ditched ‘the Untouchables’.”
The show did incredibly well during its first run. Netflix reported that the show drew 40 million viewers during its first month. Alongside the smash hit, Bird Box, Sex Education was one of its best performing pieces of content last December.
