The Seattle Seahawks have hired former Chicago Bears, defensive coordinator Sean Desai as their associate Head Coach. Desai, at 38 years old, is now one of the youngest associate head coaches in the NFL. Seattle Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carrol has made a strong push to improve both sides of the ball this offseason. He seemed particularly interested in working on improving the defense. The former Bears defensive coordinator has a sharp mind for defense and should help turn things around.
The #Seahawks are hiring former #Bears DC Sean Desai as their associate head coach — defense, source said. At 38 years old, Desai is one of the youngest associate head coaches in the NFL. Pete Carroll made a hard sell as he retooled his defensive staff and Desai lands in Seattle.

The Seattle Seahawks have cleaned house on the defensive side of the ball. They hired Clint Hurtt to be their new defensive coordinator and they also hired Karl Scott to be their new defensive pass game coordinator. It was obvious that the defense has been slipping each year since the end of the Legion of Boom era. Now hopefully with a reworked defensive coaching staff, they can turn things around.
Sean Desai was with the Chicago Bears from 2013 to 2021 and slowly worked his way up the ranks. He has a good mind for defense and will be charged with helping the rebuild. There will surely be some new faces starting for the Seattle defense after free agency and the 2022 NFL Draft. The Chicago Bears defense always looked and played like a top unit with Desai on the sidelines. It will be interesting to see how the team handles the offseason with so many looming decisions.
