This will be the third straight game Bradford has missed. He is currently nursing a knee injury he suffered Week 1 against the New Orleans Saints. Bradford performed well in the season opener, throwing for 346 yards and 3 touchdowns. Case Keenum has done a good job starting for the injured Bradford. He has thrown for over 300 yards in two games and is 1-1 this season.

Head Coach Mike Zimmer said that Bradford is better, but just not ready to play yet. Tests done on Bradford’s knee showed no structural damage, which is a good sign to the Vikings. Bradford has suffered from ACL injuries in the past.
The upcoming game against the Lions is a critical one. They are division opponents and both have had hot starts to the season. Winning this game could help either team later down the road as the playoffs approach. The Vikings need Bradford, but so far Keenum has held the offense together. Bradford’s condition will be re-evaluated next week.
