Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill has been ruled out for the rest of the 2022-23 regular season after undergoing ankle surgery. If the team makes the NFL Playoffs he is considered a “long shot” to return for any of those potential games. The veteran quarterback is rehabbing in an attempt to make it back this season at some point. Rookie quarterback Malik Willis will start for the team while Tannehill is unable to play for the team this season. Tannehill injured his ankle against the Los Angeles Chargers but played the rest of the game before undergoing surgery days later.
Titans’ QB Ryan Tannehill, who underwent surgery on his high ankle sprain this week, will not play again during this regular season and it is considered “unlikely” that he will be able to return this postseason, per a league source.

This season with the Tennessee Titans, Ryan Tannehill has completed 212 passes for 2,536 yards, 13 touchdowns, and six interceptions on 325 passing attempts. He has also rushed the ball 34 times for 98 yards and two touchdowns. The Titans are currently 7-7 on the season with the Jacksonville Jaguars right behind them at 7-8 after their Thursday Night Football win. Winning the AFC South could very well come down to the two teams playing against each other in Week 18 on January 8th. We here at Def Pen Sports wish Tannehill the best in his recovery and eventual return to the football field.
