The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to a blockbuster deal with the Denver Broncos that will send quarterback Russell Wilson to Denver. Speculation about Wilson’s future this offseason has been running rampant, but now pending his approval and a physical he will be on the Denver Broncos next season. The deal will include multiple first-round picks as well as additional draft capital and players. Wilson spent most of the season on the bench with his first major NFL injury.

Russell Wilson has long been one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL and already has one Super Bowl victory under his belt. In his career with the Seattle Seahawks, he has completed 3,079 passes for 37,059 yards, 292 touchdowns, and 87 interceptions. He is also a nine-time Pro Bowler, one-time Super Bowl Champion, and the 2020 Walter Payton Man of the Year. He now heads to a young talented team that needed a franchise quarterback.

The details of this trade will continue to leak out as the day and week progress. AFC West football is sure to be a fight for the foreseeable future with all four teams poised to be NFL Playoff contenders. The Denver Broncos gave up a lot for Russell Wilson, but franchise quarterbacks are almost a must to win a Super Bowl. That is the Denver Broncos’ goal.
