Well, well, well… this is interesting. From the beginning of his tenure with adidas, Mr. West made it clear that the shoe he was releasing with the three stripes would be widely available. The test results confirmed that was a lie. Now it appears, according to the folks at TSG that starting in February of this year, retailers are expected to received FOUR TIMES the amount of stock for the shoe at their retail locations. Could this be a way to increase revenue or finally feed the consumer the correct way instead of having fans and avid sneaker heads going crazy over this sneaker. Regardless of which way you think of it, adidas is doing the right thing by increasing production, I mean who does it hurt here? No one it provides a win win situation for everyone and it even combats the retailer a bit making the exclusivity a bit lower but with such a high demand that doesn’t seem likely.
As for February the release isn’t known but I personally feel we can look for a pair to drop for All-Star Weekend which will mark the 1 year anniversary for the initial launch. When more information concerning the adidas Yeezy Boost and any release dates, we will keep you guys updated accordingly.
