Top Dawg Entertainment is back! Just last week, Ab-Soul returned with a new single and video. This week, SZA ended a two-year hiatus with a new single and visual starring Lakeith Stanfield. Shortly thereafter, Ray Vaughn stepped up to the plate and dropped the “Tradeline” video.
Directed by Daniel Antonio, the “Tradeline” video takes a number of twists and turns. Things begin as a group of four women take a few men back to a nearby motel. While those men believe they are going to have a happy ending, they just end up getting robbed and bringing their rewards to the one and only Ray Vaughn as they ride down the freeway at high speeds. From there, they find their way back to the crib for a theatric performance from the newly signed TDE star.
“If you f*ck with me, you’re gonna be mad, high key. I’ll leave you like your Dad, high key. Usher’s son, I got it bad, high key. You’re b*tch made. You’re a drag, I see,” he raps.
Over the last year, Ray Vaughn has hit the ground running as one of the newer acts signed to the legendary label. He’s toured with Isaiah Rashad, delivered countless singles and videos and appeared on Power 106 with the LA Leakers. Having laid the groundwork, he’s poised for a major run in 2023.
