Six years ago, Ravyn Lenae introduced herself to the world with the Moon Shoes EP. Since then, she’s worked with Smino, featured music on HBO’s Insecure and released the Crush EP. Now, she’s ready to make her next transition. Getting ready for the summer, Chicago’s own Ravyn Lenae has unveiled her debut studio album, Hypnos.
“This feels like me stepping out as my fully-loaded self, if that makes sense,” Lenae told Billboard about her new project.
“I feel like I’ve been pending over the last couple years, and now I feel whole and very secure in myself and the music. It’s a coming-out project for me, where people don’t have to guess about me anymore. I’m putting my stamp on the industry.”
Ravyn Lenae will not make the next step in her career alone. Hypnos will also feature Steve Lacy, Mereba and Foushée. She’s also set to head out on tour with Unusual Demont later this month. Check out the album below and grab your tickets before the Chicago native hits a stage in a city near you.
