On Monday, November 20, Quavious “Quavo” Marshall’s Quavo Cares partnered with Urban Recipe and the Atlanta Community Food Bank to distribute fresh produce, hygiene products, cookbooks and more to roughly 300 families in Atlanta, Georgia and the surrounding areas.
“It’s very important to give back,” the two-time Grammy nominee told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
“We came from nothing, so it’s only right that we give back to the people that have nothing or have less. We just try to help the best way we can. This is just a small portion to the big things that we’re doing.”
The cookbooks gifted to families in the Atlanta metro area were curated by the chart-topping artist. The 11-page digital offering teaches cooks to craft several classic dishes, including stuffing, apple-glazed sweet potatoes, cinnamon rice pudding and baked apple crisps.
“What I care most about is bringing the community together to provide joy and peace,” a message from Quavo Cares reads.
“There is no better way to do it than to connect with loved ones over a home-cooked meal. This season, as my gift to you, I am sharing my family recipes to inspire you to make nutritious meals together to enjoy with laughter and love.”
