This is a salary-shedding move for the Bucks, as Snell is owed $11.4 million in 2019-20 and $12.2 million in 2020-21. Leuer will be paid $9.5 million in 2019-20 and will then hit free agency.
The Pistons now own the 15th and 30th picks in the draft.
Snell played 17.6 minutes a night for the Bucks last season, his lowest since his rookie season in 2013-14. He averages 6.2 points and 2.4 rebounds on .425/.382/.819 shooting for his career.
