The release that everyone is waiting for is finally on its way. We last spoke on the Air Jordan 1 ‘Pinnacle‘ a few days ago when we provided you guys with the news that they will be dropping on June 20th for the whopping retail price of $400.
The black pair seen has released prior to the news of the June 20th release date during the weekend of the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight at the opening of the Flight 23 Vegas location.
Today we have some great detailed pictures to share of this premium snakeskin baring, 24K Gold shining, Air Jordan 1 Retro High in both the white colorway and black colorway.
I tried to figure out why the release which was scheduled for February during All-Star weekend was pushed back and when I saw the confirmation in date being June 20th I started to do some research. It all makes sense now that I know on June 20th, 1993, Michael and the Chicago Bulls clinched their first three-peat. He and the Bulls reached their Pinnacle.
If I wanted to go deeper into the whole ‘Pinnacle’ story line, if you notice the colors are all black and all white. MJ felt he had accomplished everything hence reaching his Pinnacle. So in 1993 he retired which is the season after the three-peat, so what did he do?
He went and played baseball for the Birmingham Barons who are a Triple A team associated with the White Sox. Correlation? Their colors are Black and White.
Now this could all be a reach but when you think about it, it makes sense. Anyways check out the detailed pictures below and let us know down in the comments if you agree and will these be a DEF Cop or DEF Not.
Also we will update you guys on which locations will be releasing the ‘Pinnacle’ 1’s.
