Paul ‘The Truth’ Pierce wants to end his career with Doc Rivers who once was his coach during his tenure with the Boston Celtics. After being in Brooklyn he finds himself as a Clipper and it is obvious he will waste no time voicing his opinion and pretty much being the vocal leader. We all know his disdain for LeBron James, I wouldn’t say it is a malicious dislike but on the competitive side of things he is well in his rights to feel the way he does. So where am I going with this? Well during Media Day, Washington Wizards beat writer Jorge Castillo spoke with Washington Wizards center Marcin Gortat on what he learned from Paul Pierce and he pretty much said Pierce didn’t want his teammates wearing LeBron James sneakers during practice.
This is hilarious but at the same time does Pierce present a very important point? Should teams wear opponents sneakers? Is it that big of a deal? When you look at it from a competitive standpoint yes it is a big deal. Will Paul enforce this rule with the Clippers? That remains to be seen because if you haven’t noticed, one DeAndre Jordan frequently wears Nike LeBron Soldiers on the court. Will DJ switch things up now? Check out the tweet from Jorge Castillo below and let us know down in the comments your thoughts on what Gortat learned from Pierce..
Gortat on what he learned from Paul Pierce: “Not to wear LeBron James’s shoes to practice.” He mentioned some other things, too.
