it has been speculated for some time now that Paul George was next up on the Nike list of athletes to receive that crack at a signature shoe. The success of Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving has led for the next athlete to be introduced. That athlete is PG13. Fresh off his season returning after a devastating leg injury suffered. Looking to not let that deter him he has returned to play for Team USA in the Rio Olympics.
The Nike PG 1 which is dubbed Nike The Bait 1 is debuting in a colorway that will be Pacers colored and the description is Obsidian/White-University Gold. Personally the silhouette is dope and features a forefoot strap that fans have loved for signature sneakers i.e. KD and Kyrie. The PG logo is spotted on the tongue and for me the tooling is very reminiscent of the Nike Kobe 6. Lastly it looks like Flywire plays a role in the sneakers construction.
While it isn’t confirmed yet by Nike that this is Paul George’s signature shoe the retail price has prematurely been provided which is $110. Pretty affordable. Keep it locked here as we will continue to update you guys accordingly as new information will arise periodically.
