Packer Shoes continue to outdo themselves with their collaborations. The New Jersey based retailer is back again this time paying homage to their own Saint Anthony Friars of Jersey City, NJ for their undefeated 2007-2008 season in which this PE was worn.

Working with Reebok since our first project during Pump 20, we have had the opportunity to bring to life some of our thoughts and inspirations thru our collaborative projects. For the good part of that time there has been a “white whale” of a project that we have refused to give up on — bringing to life a PE edition of the original Question which only a select few have ever had the opportunity to get their hands on. One of the teams outfitted in these PE’s were the Saint Anthony Friars of Jersey City, NJ during their undefeated 2007-2008 season.
Besides being one of the most sought after color ways of an iconic basketball shoe and being connected to one of the biggest New Jersey based powerhouse basketball programs, we wanted to do something more besides just bringing the shoe to market. Thankfully with the support of Reebok and St. Anthony we now have the opportunity to do so…
The basketball program at St. Anthony has been led by hall of fame coach Bob Hurley Sr. for over to forty years. In that time, Coach Hurley has not only built and coached a tremendous program, but has given his all to the teams and each individual player he comes in contact with. For years, Coach Hurley has worked tirelessly to raise funds for the school and the program and has had the respect for those who have been affiliated with the school and those who have admired his tremendous efforts from afar.
Of the 500 pairs produced worldwide and are exclusive to us, the only slight change to the original PE versions are the insoles which we have tweaked to have the “HARD WORK” chant that the Friars break the huddle with. In the spirit of trying to bring to life projects which we as a store can stand behind we are bringing these storied shoes to life and with what we think is a good and right cause. We will be donating a portion of the proceeds from each shoe sold directly to the Saint Anthony High School program. Sometimes it’s just about the shoes but sometimes it’s more than that. This is one of those times.
This coming Wednesday – December 17th, our neighboring Teaneck High School will play host to the St. Anthony Friars as they play a scrimmage game. Following their afternoon scrimmage at the school, join us and special guest Coach Bob Hurley Sr. as we will officially launch the “Saint Anthony Friars” Reebok Question Mid at 7pm sharp exclusively in-store only at Packer Shoes (located at 941 Teaneck Road, Teaneck NJ 07666). Leftover stock from our in-store release (if any) will post live on our store website (PackerShoes.com) at later that evening.
The SAHS Reebok Question Mid will be available in men’s sizes 6.5 thru 15 and with retail price set at $125 USD (no tax).
Due to the nature of this release all sales will be final.
