On July 9-10, 2024, the Uninterrupted Film Festival returned to NeueHouse Hollywood. During the two-day event, A Radical Act: Renee Montgomery, Charlie Hustle & the Matter of Pete Rose and several short films curated by LeBron James were highlighted. Along the way, several prominent figures in sports and entertainment sat down for in-depth panel discussions, including Paul Pierce, Matt Barnes and Omari Hardwick. While speaking at the event, Hardwick was asked about the end of the hit series, Power. From his viewpoint, the show “didn’t end right.”
“I’m with you all in this sense,” Hardwick told the crowd.
“I’m with you in the sense that the way the story was sold and told to me is not befitting of the way it ended, guys. So, you all have every right to be like, ‘It didn’t end right.’”
Days after the event concluded, a clip of Hardwick’s comments made it to the man running the Power universe, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. As expected, he took great issue with the star actor’s comments.
“This [ninja] is a strange bird,” he wrote on Instagram in a since deleted post.
“[What] the f—k is he talking about? I never [did anything]. but look out for him. If he needed something, I gave it to him. I understand now. That s—t didn’t matter at all.”
