After the recent firing of coach Danny Manning at Wake Forest, big man Olivier Sarr has decided to transfer ultimately deciding on Kentucky. Coach Calipari has once again dipped his toe in the transfer market a year after bringing in Nate Sestina. Sarr was considering entering the draft at one point but ultimately returned back to school before the firing of Manning. After the firing, he alerted the school he was transferring and kept the decision even after the hiring of new coach Steve Forbes.
Sarr was an All-ACC performer this past season after averaging nearly a double-double. The seven-footer is hoping for a waiver to play immediately but it is unlikely at this time it will happen.

If Sarr is immediately eligible he will provide the same senior leadership Nate Sestina and Reid Travis before him provided for the perpetually young Kentucky squad. The Sarr commitment is big after Kentucky missed out on Matt Haarms. Many expected the school land the Purdue transfer before he ultimately chose BYU over Kentucky and Texas Tech who many saw as better fits.
