October 15, 2022 is without a doubt the most exciting date on this year’s boxing calendar. Due to the death of a foreign dignitary, a rematch clause and the return of a former champion, there are at least five fights set to take place that will impact the future of boxing. Out in Australia, George Kambosos Jr. will attempt to regain his undisputed lightweight title against Devin “The Dream” Haney. Thousands of miles away, Claressa Shields will attempt to defeat the only woman to beat her as an amateur — Savannah Marshall. Alongside Shields and Marshall, Alycia Baumgardner and Mikaela Mayer will settle their feud once and for all at the O2 Arena. Here in the United States, Caleb Plant will look to bounce back after suffering the first defeat of his pro career and Deontay Wilder will return to the ring for the first time since he suffered a tough knockout loss against Tyson Fury in 2021. With all that is set to go on, get ready for the day of boxing by listening to these five podcasts from the best and brightest in the sport.
