Interesting development over the weekend. Nike Basketball released this picture which subsequently threw social media into a frenzy, especially #Sneakertwitter. It looks like there will be a special Nike Kobe 9 Elite to be released once Kobe Bryant surpasses Michael Jordan for third all time in Scoring. Look at the swoosh, knowing them we all should have expected this but since the news came at an unexpected time it looks like they win again.
Now the specifics on what the shoe would look like is still a bit unclear but there is word that the colorway is expected to be of a white/multi as well as it being a QS, of course. Another clue at what to expect is that Nike tagged NIKEiD in the picture as well which will give us an idea that it could be a special NIKEiD feature like the multi that sold out ever so quickl before when it dropped.
Either way we won’t find out what Nike is going to do until Kobe scores another 63 points which could happen either Friday against the San Antonio Spurs or Sunday against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Hey knowing Kobe, what if he drops 63 on the Kings this tuesday, 12/9 LOL.
