Welcome to the future or Back to the future, either way it is officially October 21, 2015. This is the exact date that Marty McFly, played by Michael J Fox went into the Future with Doctor Emmett Brown’s time machine DeLoreon.
Since the release of the Nike Mag in 2011 which was kept to 1500 pairs and auctioned off via eBay, many were wondering will the power lacing which self laces the sneakers for you like the pair worn in the 1989 movie would ever be a real thing. Well as time went on Nike has subtly dropped hints to fans that the Nike Mag with power self laces would be coming. Just last night at midnight apparently the Pepsi Perfect which was in the Back To The Future 2 dropped and instantly sold out. We then also received tweets via Nike to Michael J Fox that they will see him tomorrow (today) and Heidi Burgett who is Nike’s Public Relations Director piggy backed that tweet to furthermore give us hints at what the world is waiting for.
To make things even more hyped up and have us all on edge, there have been several reports that that the first self-lacing powered Nike Mag is in fact in NYC today.
We will continue to follow any news regarding the Nike Mag as well as Back To The Future Day!
We’ll find out tomorrow if self-lacing shoes will be part of the future. https://t.co/X1NxgqRmAR
